Ocean View Restaurante in Ketchikan

Great selection of Mexican and Italian foods. A little Pricey but has great service. I really like the different soups that they have with dinner different each time I go.

Service was nice, food was great, and the view of the ocean is definitely worthwhile. 💙

Great food and awesome service!

As a chef with 38 years of experience, I try to be gracious in my critiques of a restaurant, but I also recognize the responsibility in being accurate in helping people find places to spend their hard-earned money. That said, I've not been so disappointed in a dining experience as I was with my lunch at the Oceanview. The service was fine. The food was not. The absolute worst Chile Relleno I've ever seen/eaten; no flavor whatsoever. The sauce tasted straight out of a jug that was watered down. You couldn't pay me to go back...seriously. And how do you make chorizo have no flavor?! The queso dip was like mozzarella glue. Is mozzarella Mexican?! (No. No, it's not) Lol... I've heard many people say that they've had much better experiences, so maybe I caught them on a bad day? Regardless, I won't darken the doorway again any time soon, which, I'm sure will not cause them to lose any sleep.

This restaurant really expresses the Mexican cuisine as a art. They make pizzas that are excellent when it comes to quality and quantity. They are all sold at an amazing price.

Good food for Ketchikan. New menu is a little bit pricier, but the mexican plates have significantly increased in quality. Great decor as well!

Very good price friendly staff

The portions were small, the price of food too great for it tasting mostly like pre-made food. The dessert tasted like it was cookie dough from the refrigerator and the ice cream grainy. The waiters and waitresses were fairly attentive but they didn’t refill our drinks and the music was overly loud. Over all not a restaurant I would go back to but the atmosphere was good.

Awesome food and service

Food was okay, service was minimal but I don't go here often because it's too damned NOISY! Even at half-capacity the combination of the chintzy Mexican music and people trying to have conversations is deafening! All hard surfaces and no sound deadening makes it hurt my ears to sit for the duration of a meal...

Last visit the service was exce5. Our meals were good too. I had enough enchiladas. My wife had a shrimp fish that I don't recall the menu name. Very tasty.

The owner spoke Spanish, thats as far as i can vouch for this being authentic mexican cuisine; its not even texmex. Taco time has more flavor, and the prices are off the chart. Nuff said.

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the portions were very generous (you probably won’t need an appetizer AND and entree). We brought home several to-go boxes, and will definitely eat here again. Limited vegetarian options on the menu.

Great Italian and Mexican fare. Food was prompt and delicious. Place was cold inside so be sure to bring warm clothes if dining in.

The food was exceptional and the service was even better! Interesting marriage of Mexican and Italian done to perfection. Nice outside patio if you hit a day it's not raining. Four or five bald eagles sharing the point and a seaplane port next door. A unique and enchanting experience.

It is recamended to go early when there is less people you get better service.

The shrimp fettuccine was good. Not great but good. In Alaska I would expect a fine restraunt to have a seafood fetichinni and selection of fine wine. The service was a bit disorganized and it is an expensive place to eat. Nice view of the channel and blend of pseudo Roman and Mexican art. All in all a good dinner experience. I would recommend it to friends and family. 4 stars 30$ for dinner and a soda

While pricey it is an enjoyable experience and the family is nice.

Service was outstanding. Food was wonderful and prepared to order. Loved the special care they gave my family.

Maybe a new waitress or something, but our food didn't come out together and when we asked for something it's like she forgot for about 10 mins (only one other table besides ours) asked for avocado for our meal got it while we were about to finish our meal. Was never offered more coffee or soda except for the one person that was having drinks was never empty 😒

I love the large menu this restaurant offers. Anything from Mexican to Italian and even Mediterranean and burgers. If your looking for a cheap meal option this is not the place but their food is good. If you like lamb get the platter 👍 service has always been prompt and friendly. If the tables are open you have a nice view of the water. This establishment has a bar as well.

High prices for mediocre dishes. Should be able to have better quality for the prices.

The best mexican food in town

Being in Alaska, we were looking for halibut and chips, but they only had cod. Desperate for a good fried meal, we ordered anyway. When we took our take out home, there was no tartar sauce!!!! Everyone knows fried white fish (cod or halibut) is simply a delivery system for tartar. Wuz up wit that?

Friendly owner & staff, excellent service, fun & festive ambience, breathtaking view, and of course, strong, tasty drinks & a huge menu of delicious food. We recently had a birthday party there with about 20 people & I had the chance to taste many different drinks, & several veg & non veg dishes.
